Thank God for Stepping Stone, they were there to help me and pick me back up at my lowest point. From the first call I made to the day I left, this was one of the most positive experiences I've had in my life. I've been to a couple programs in the past and nothing seemed to get through to me. One of the therapist took me under her wing and I was able to identify so many things. I'm truly grateful and forever indebted to Stepping Stone!!

Stepping Stone saved my life. It was a safe place for me to open up and get the help I needed. They offer a variety of methods to help learn to deal with emotions and issues that kept me from living a happy sober life. The staff truly cares about each client. I will forever be thankful to my Hope people.

My time in treatment at Stepping stone was totally rewarding. They have a highly effective program with the best staff and counselors in Florida. The groups are excellent and beneficial with a great atmosphere. They were always there for me during a very difficult time in my life. I feel so blessed for the help they provided to me. The after care is wonderful with alumni meetings and special events. They have been so supportive in my recovery and there are many of them I can call any time for advice and help when needed. You can't go wrong making a phone call to them!

After recently celebrating my 7th year of sobriety I felt it was time to share my thoughts. Stepping Stone saved my life. Not your average 12 step program. Stepping Stone WANTS YOU TO HEAL. I was shown the science behind my disease and given viable mental tools to guide me to a life of vibrant sober reality. They literally identified my "switch" and taught me how to flip it. This place saved my life. The staff was very professional and made sure that your stay there was as comfortable as possible. I have been to a few different treatment centers growing up through my late teens, but have never been to a place as nice and affordable as this one. Thank you, I will forever be in your debt.

Stepping stone saved my life and believed in me after failed attempts to get sober. They tell you the truth about your life and do not beat around the bush about this disease. If you have been beat up bad enough by drugs and alcohol and are ready to change they have the solution

Before coming to Stepping stone I had been through multiple treatment centers and have never been somewhere where the staff was loving, caring, knowledgeable, and so helpful with recovery. Not just the staff, but the clients as well. We were always engaged into the groups and always serious about their recovery. Not only have they helped me, but they have shown me how to live a life sober. Just the right mixture of fun and putting recovery first. Every day I took something new from Stepping stone. We are leaving with a strong foundation that I found here. I would recommend This treatment center to anyone struggling. You will find what you are looking for and not be disappointed

I can’t explain the relief I felt once entering the doors of stepping stone. The years of battling alcoholism was finally over. After trying rehabs in my area nothing seemed to work but now I’m proud to say I have over 3 years sober.

I gained so much from my treatment at Stepping stones. From the very start, the staff was amazing in helping me to identify what was going on with me and how to cope. They truly care about the patients. I gained tools for how to live a new healthy lifestyle, and was able to build a strong foundation for my recovery. The staff didn't just help me to get clean, they helped me to realize that I could be happy in recovery. I began learning how to truly live and appreciate life again. They helped me establish a solid aftercare plan, and I continue to reach out on occasion to update them on my progress. I don't know that I could have done this without their guidance. If you're struggling with addiction and can't see a way out, start there. It changed my life!

I can’t say enough about how great they treated my daughter when she was here! After years of fighting an heroin addiction she has over a year of Sobriety, after countless treatment attempts of trying to get clean, rehab after rehab. Stepping stones was able to get through to her! I recommend anyone who’s struggling reach out to them!

My husband went through this program and it helped save his life. The people who work there are absolutely amazing and have their clients best interest in mind! Jacksonville is a great place to get sober, and Stepping Stones is a great beginning.

The staff and program here truly care and want to see people succeed. Very nice facility. In just 35 days I learned more about myself and the disease of addiction than in 12 years.

Before coming to stepping stone, I was lost without hope. This facility saved my life. A large portion of my effort and success in recovery is owed specifically to this rehabilitation center. Nurturing environment, relaxing atmosphere, dedicated staff and a genuine concern for your well-being. This may just be a start, but it certainly gave me the tools necessary to change my life. I never imagined I could get clean in my home town. At this point, I couldn't imagine getting clean anywhere else. Thank you to the staff for exceeding my expectations. 7 months clean

Counselors, medical staff, the techs, are all wonderful. The staff is great. The higher ups are kind of shady, but do not let it deter you. The care and support that is offered there is one of a kind. You don't need a golf course or big sauna and spa. This is real recovery and therapy. I recommend it strongly to anyone seeking drug and alcohol treatment.

I've been to several treatment centers and stepping stones offered much more than all the previous ones. They genuinely care about their patients and have kept in touch with me throughout my journey afterward. Highly recommend.

Thank you Stepping Stones! Because of the start Stepping Stones gave me I recently celebrated 6 years sober! Never in my life I would ever thing that I was capable of being where I am today, I'm constantly humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude today. When I came into Stepping Stones I was so broken, lost, scared, and had completely given up on life. I had nothing, I had no one, I had no motivation, I had no hope. During my first few weeks of Stepping Stones I was terrible to the community because I hated myself and what I have become. Stepping Stones and the compassionate staff remained to love and encourage me to love myself and participate in the program when I very well should have been kicked out. Because of that I was able to break some life long chains and move forward and start to be happy again. I seriously don't know if any other program out there could have done for me what Stepping Stones has done for me. They have taught me principle of unconditional love. I am forever grateful for Stepping Stones and couldn't ever do enough to repay them for the life I live/have today. You rock, and I love you all! Thank you!!!!❤❤❤❤❤

I spent 31 days at Stepping Stone in June/July 2016. From the very first day there, I received excellent care.. I cant say enough how kind the entire staff was to me. The medical staff treated me with patience and kindness. They did everything possible to make me comfortable so I wouldn't suffer through withdrawal symptoms. The physicians worked with me daily to determine the correct medication for me. Stepping Stone had many extra-curricular activities such as swimming, visiting local parks, playing games, therapeutic work with horses, a state-of-the-art gym with personal trainers just to name a few. Visiting the beach was probably one of my favorite. As far as the counseling staff each and everyone I worked with was professional, caring, educated and just overall excellent people. The treatment plan was awesome. They used activities, group interaction, independent assignments and other methods to teach me. Most importantly we were allowed to have fun at the center. I haven't had fun being sober in a long time so that was huge for me to see life can be fun in sobriety. I was very impressed that food, snacks and drinks were provided 24/7. At any time of day there was always fruit, snacks and drinks available. The meals that were prepared were always delicious.. The menu had many options and i don't think i ever ate the same thing twice. The food was very good. The facility itself was very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend Stepping Stone for anyone seeking help with addiction. Again, the entire staff went above and beyond to make my stay there be a good experience. When I'm back in Florida, I planning on returning for visit. Thank you, Hope Campbell

Stepping stones saved my life! I went in with a negative attitude, very quiet, wasent willing at all. I was just lost before going. This hasent been my first treatment center, it was actually my 6th. No other place that I've been to had what they offered here. Each and every staff member all had an influence on me. The diversity they have in the structure of the program is what I needed. I don't plan on going back but I would absolutely recommend it if your willing to change your life!

I read some of these reviews and it blows me away.... Stepping stone is an amazing place... But if your not ready to give up the drugs and alcohol then you won't like any place you go... The staff at stepping stone genuinely care about you and your recovery. And many of them have really studied about addiction or are actually in recovery themselves and that is a huge deal to someone who is seeking help... In recovery it's not all rainbows and butterflies all the time. They can't sugar coat things and tell you what you want to hear all the time. If they did they wouldn't be helping you.. People who are truly ready and want recovery understand that. Stepping stones changed my life. It helped me find myself again. It gave me the tools I need to get sober and to help me when I'm having a bad day and my addiction tries to come out. I highly recommend this place. I am an alumni of stepping stone when asked I go in now and tell my story to the clients... If you are looking for help go, listen, talk and most of all surrender..............

I've read some of the negative reviews and can't believe they are talking about the same Stepping Stone Recovery Center in Jacksonville Fl that my granddaughter spent 7 weeks in last year. They do operate on a 12 step program and you know that going in.The 12 step program does work and is the cornerstone for many recovery programs locally and internationally. SS was instrumental in setting my Granddaughter on the right path. The counselors , therapists and Drs were top notch and involved the entire family in our loved one's recovery. She had personalized care, designed for her personal needs. The environment was warm, friendly and supportive. We all had a very positive experience there. If you want to recover, follow their program and their after care program, you will succeed. I found the staff to go over and beyond to make the experience safe, orderly, and caring. I can't imagine a recovery center better than SS. Compared to Lakeview, SS is Heaven to their Hell. To the person speaking of the Baker Act or the Marchman Act. Stepping Stone is a VOLUNTARY program. No one is sent there under the Baker or Marchman Act. If you are Baker Acted, you will be sent to a local hospital. If you are admitted under the Marchman Act you will be sent to a public facility and held for only 48 to 72 hours for evaluation. Stepping Stone is a prive institution and does NOT participate in INVOLUNTARY admissions. Everyone is allowed to leave by their own choice at anytime during your stay. there IS a difference.
